2008 GVAL Show

Our fifth annual juried art exhibition was held February 9-23, 2008, at the Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 South Gilbert Road, Gilbert AZ.

Our Thanks Go Out

GVAL would like to extend its thanks to the following local merchants for helping to make the 2008 show possible:
  • Jerry's Artarama on the southeast corner of Rural and US 60
  • Arizona Art Supply at 1628 E. Southern Ave
  • Trader Joe's on the NE corner of Baseline and Gilbert Rd.
  • Fresh n Easy on the NE corner of Guadalupe and Higley
  • Basha's on the SW corner of Baseline and Greenfield
  • Sprout's Farmers Market on Williams Field and Val Vista.
I would like to thank all of your for your hard work in making this years art show a success. I also want to apologize for the errors, and there were several. The work at this years show was fantastic. I was blown away by the variety of arts and the quality of artwork submitted for the show. I was also impressed by the number of you who were willing to sit with the art and mingle with those coming to see the show. Having you there to help explain the process made it much more successful. I am new to the League (since last fall) and really enjoyed getting to know so many of you. We have a blog up on the website and I encourage you to express yourselves there and give us ideas for the next show. This year wasn't perfect, and I apologize for that, but many of you have expressed your joy at being involved. Hopefully, next year will be even better.
Jean Turner Smith
